Rainbow over the 18th  known as St Cuthbert's Way ( see history of the course ) The Rainbow ended at Durham Cathedral right on St Cuthbert's  Tomb !

Sharpley Charity Am Am

AM AM CHARITY EVENT – 12th July, 2013

 

 

On Friday 12th July, 2013, Sharpley Country Golf Course held an inaugural charity event at which over 80 local golfers joined forces with sporting celebrities from the world of boxing, football and golf to raise funds for British Disabled Golf and local war veterans through Veterans at Ease charities and Help the Hero's . Including sporting celebrities  Jack Charlton, Glen Mc Cory, 

 

Micky Horswill from the Sunderland 1973 FA Cup winning team joined the organising committee to ensure that the 23 competing teams – including one from each charity – experienced a very special day

 

An auction followed the golf with various sporting items being bid for, helping to boost the funds.

We must thank the main sponsors – D’SuzaConstruction Ltd & Stratstone Jaguar – in addition to many others who so kindly supported the event:

And indeed to all who gave so unstintingly of their time and talents to ensure that the was so successful.












Charity Am Am at Sharpley Golf

We were very proud to induce Stephen to golf here at Sharpley. Instruction given by Liam from our Green Staff.
